What is a play? hat is a play? Is it a wrinkled old man, traveling to heaven on the Camel of Narrative? Is it a kind of dramatic yoghurt, a digestive aid that can help us to expel the excrement from our lives? Or is it something…more?

The Theater must always be a safe and special place, but here at the Exposed Bone Workshop Collective Ensemble Studio “Not Just Your Average Theatre Company” Theatre Company, we believe that plays can change lives. We believe that plays are a fusion of sport, poetry, political activism, and actual medicine. We believe that theatre has the power to cure not just HIV, but also full-blown AIDS.

“When Pigs Fly!” is the culmination of multiple hours of work, mining the modern American theatre for something truly New to say. I have written five truly spicy American plays in the vein of Shakespeare, Chekhov, Ibsen, and Annie Baker. Now, all we need is you: the audience. Come expose a bone with us.

— Martin Reinsen, BFA

Welcome to Exposed Bone. Developed in #serials@theflea and following sold-out performances at the Loading Dock Theatre and the PIT, this raucous and biting new musical comedy is finally hitting the big-time: OFF-OFF-BROADWAY BABY!

A play about plays (and privilege), Exposed Bone follows a group of bright-eyed BFAs as they reinterpret contemporary American classics to disastrous effect. Whether you’re a Youngblood, a Kilroy, or one of the other genders, this play will leave you asking: “Why on earth would any reasonable person want to do theatre?”

So come laugh! Come cry! Come shed your remaining faith in humanity! All you have to do is snag your tickets (only $18!), block off 80 minutes of your life, have a drink or two, and bring a third drink into the theatre. Get your tickets now!
